Work
on the Canto began in 1995 but not until 1997 were the first testcars
ready. The car was designed by Zagato and origianally 12 cars were built,
and the car was very close to production when Audi bought the company
and even though the Canto was planned to debut at the Geneva Motor Show
in March 1999 Audi stopped the project, and created the Murcielago instead.
Out of the 12 Cantos built only 2 survived the others were destriyed by
the factory. |
